This article was just posted on the the Baha’i World News Service. It saddens my heart to see that in this day and age, children and youth are still being being treated in the this way, officially, by a Government! I wonder what kind of world Tara will grow up in?
Please remember the children, junior youth, youth and adults in Iran in your prayers.

NEW YORK, 5 April 2007 (BWNS) —
Baha’i students in primary and secondary schools throughout Iran are increasingly being harassed, vilified, and held up to abuse, according to recent reports from inside the country.
During a 30-day period from mid-January to mid-February, some 150 incidents of insults, mistreatment, and even physical violence by school authorities against Baha’i students were reported as occurring in at least 10 Iranian cities.

Tara at 5 months

Last week we had some very dear friends of ours come as pilgrims to the Holy Land and visited us at home. The Khosraviani family are from Chch, NZ–our community before we came to the Holy Land–and it was just sooooooooooooooo good to see them again and to catch up on the last 3 years together. Miss you guys!

Yes, we had to utilize the 3-sec-shot feature on the cam

On Friday for lunch we ate at Tatami’s for the first time in a long time. Good food, good company.
Tara loved the fishies…

and the chop sticks

The guys had a “business” meeting over the business lunch

while the girls made plans for Ayyam-i-Ha

It’s the season for engagements and weddings all around, and we would like to send our biggest congratulations to these beautiful couples who got married recently.
Theresa and Liam got married in Texas–so cute you two! Resa you look STUNNING! We wish we could have been there for your special day. Another orientee hitched! Yaaaay
Zafar and Chelsea in New Orleans–Zafar is half Samoan, and his family are pioneers in Papua New Guinea, our families go way back; Chelsea served here at the World Centre with Saba and I. What a radiant couple.

Roman and Leila got married in Auckland, and we unfortunately could not be in that part of the world to attend it. Roman and his family are dear friends with Saba and I and our families. Don’t they look like something out of a wedding magazine? Beauuuutiful. Also these two were a part of a Lionel Richie music vid (I have famous friends! haha, ok, so it’s only a 1-second shot but still; they’re the second couple in the park, don’t blink).

Leata and Collin tied the knot in Samoa in December ‘06 at a gorgeous beach resort, where everyone these days in Samoa are choosing to get married, and where Saba and I spent our honeymoon. Ia ua lava. I love the ofu, pale, and bouquet Leata! Congratulations!

And there’s more to come… Big malo lava to these soon-to-be husbands and wives–Jared and Clorin who will be getting married this weekend in Haifa, Naeem and Maryam in the Czech Republic in March, and Mateen and Monica in Haifa in April. Do we have every month covered? Yup, pretty much! And don’t feel missed out people, check out this funny wedding event. Hilarious. Se Saba, why didn’t we do something like this at our wedding? Se jush keeding; the burnt fire dancer, pe fire works, and Naeem doing his butter knife siva were classic enough
